Graham Burkin

Bass Guitar,  Vocals and Keys

Graham has been making some form of music since he was at least six. Whilst at school he learned piano, clarinet and saxophone. Much to the annoyance of his clarinet teacher he turned his energy to learning the electric guitar right when he was supposed to be preparing hard for his year 12 music exams on the Clarinet!

After high school he became a passionate bass player and during the early 80’s played in several bands around Adelaide. Later he became involved in a number of gospel based music projects where he played a lot of keyboards and electric guitar whilst still having an occasional play on the bass.

Late in 2006 he joined with the rest of the SideFX crew and has rediscovered his passion for playing bass guitar and even has a bit of a sing occasionally.

Graham has many musical influences but jazz funk and acid Jazz continue to be a mainstay on his iPod, anything with a groove, funky bass line and a Hammond organ is more than likely to draw his attention.I
